AURA
Design the daylight you want—and the façade your client remembers. With Aura, you choose the colors, the fin angle, and the orientation to cut heat and glare while keeping the soft, usable light your interiors need.
What it is
Danpashade Aura is a translucent fin sunshade system that uses durable polycarbonate blades and aluminum carriers to create continuous vertical or horizontal arrays. Each fin can be specified with different finishes on each face to produce a kinetic, color-shifting effect as viewers and sun angles change—without moving parts. Multiple fin depths, spacings, and orientations let you balance aesthetics with measurable shading performance.
Why project teams choose DanpaShade Aura systems?
☑ You control daylight, not just shade. Aura’s Z-Frame inside each fin filters sun as it moves across the sky—reducing glare and solar gain while keeping a comfortable, diffused glow. Think “illuminated shade,” not a dark interior.
☑ Choose your palette: From cool greys and opals to bold Canary Yellow, Fern Green, and Crimson—plus dual-color “kinetic” combos for brand or campus identity—striking by day, elegant at dusk.
☑ Fit it to your design. Install fins vertical or horizontal at 5° degree increments to tune shading, sightlines, and rhythm—on one elevation or across the whole project.
☑ Set the orientation: Vertical for lower-sun control and a tall cadence; horizontal for noon shading and deep overhang expression. You can mix both on one project.
☑ Can be used for retrofits. Lightweight fins mount to existing structures without tearing up the façade; when the brand or program changes, you swap fins and reset the vibe.
☑ Support your energy goals. By lowering solar load without killing natural light, Aura helps you reduce reliance on HVAC and electric lighting—useful for green building targets
☑ Sustainable by Design – 100% recyclable panels manufactured under rigorous standards support sustainable building targets.
Performance at a glance
☑ Solar control: Reduce cooling loads and mitigate glare with fin geometry optimized to your latitude, façade orientation, and target SHGC.
☑ Visual comfort: Even, diffuse light at the glazing line; maintains view clarity while softening contrast.
☑ Material durability: Co-extruded UV protection on both sides of the fins; impact-resistant, hail-tough polycarbonate.
☑ Fire & code considerations: Components and assemblies available to support common North American compliance pathways; project-specific engineering available. Listed under ICC ESR-5022
☑ Sustainability: Lightweight system reduces embedded carbon in support framing; daylighting supports energy-efficient design and potential LEED credits.
