Danpalon Long Span Canopy
Turn entrances, walkways, curbside pick-up, and outdoor learning spaces into luminous, weather-ready zones with long, elegant spans and a clean soffit. The secret is a self-supporting rafter system that sits directly beneath the panel seams, so you get a continuous underside without framework shadowing—pure, refined light architecture.
What it is
Longspan Canopy is a self-supporting translucent canopy/roof assembly that integrates specialized aluminium rafters with Danpalon® polycarbonate panels. Dry-glazed connectors clip over the rafters to form a watertight, standing-seam system delivering a clean, clutter-free look below. It’s engineered for straight or curved forms and is designed.
Why project teams choose a Danpalon Long Span Canopy?
☑ Cleaner aesthetics, fewer interruptions. Rafters align with panel seams, reducing visible structure and eliminating “grid” shadowing on the soffit—ideal for signature entries and circulation.
☑ Large-span capability. Eliminate horizontal purlins (Project loads and deflection criteria apply.)
☑ Watertight, weather-ready envelope. The dry-glazed connection resists water penetration; systems are designed for harsh UV, rain, hail, and wind.
☑ Lightweight yet tough. Polycarbonate Microcell technology and structural rafter bars deliver high impact and hail resistance without the weight and cost of heavy secondary steel.
☑ Straight or curved designs so you can echo site lines or create soft, welcoming gestures.
☑ Integrated services. Rafter options can accommodate suspended fans and lighting, simplifying coordination.
